Fresh Day Cafe is owner Jana’s love letter to the food she grew up with — and to the community that’s embraced it.

THE BEGINNING
A taste of home, far from home
When Jana settled in the Monadnock region, she missed the food of her childhood — fresh bread on a Sunday, slowly brewed Turkish coffee, plates of pierogi shared around a crowded table.
So she started baking. Friends became regulars, regulars became a waitlist, and Fresh Day Cafe was born.

To bring authentic, handmade Eastern European food to the Monadnock region — and to make every guest feel at home.
Handmade, never hurried
Dough rests, fillings are folded by hand, coffee is brewed slowly. Good food takes time.
Honest ingredients
Imported staples that matter — paprika, poppyseed, farmer’s cheese — with fresh local produce.
A gathering place
Food is meant to be shared. We built Fresh Day to be the warm corner the community returns to.

You won’t find a freezer-to-fryer shortcut here. Jana bakes the breads, folds the pierogi, simmers the goulash, and brews the coffee that goes into every cup.
We honor the classics and welcome the modern palate alike — with dishes like beet-and-goat-cheese salad and avocado toast on house rye.
